From Istanbul to San Francisco: A Mediterranean Story
Dunya is inspired by the city I grew up in — Istanbul, a place where food has always been about more than what’s on the table. It’s about gathering, sharing, and spending time with the people around you.
Growing up in Istanbul, some of my favorite memories were made around tables filled with dishes meant to be shared, long conversations, and the simple warmth of being together. That spirit is what I wanted to bring to Dunya.
Our menu draws inspiration from the flavors of Istanbul and the Mediterranean, paired with thoughtfully selected wines and the kind of warm, welcoming hospitality I grew up with.
Dunya is our little piece of Istanbul on Polk Street — made for good food, good wine, and even better company.
